Show Your Park Some Love Grant
Frequently Asked Questions
What if my agency doesn’t have marketing support in-house?
If your agency does not have a marketing staff, don’t worry! All the creative materials come pre-designed from the national Love Campaign, and NRPA staff can provide technical assistance on creating a dynamic and exciting promotion plan for your recycling activation. We are also developing a marketing toolkit that will be available for grantee use in engaging your community and colleagues.
What is the Love Campaign?
The Love Campaign is a national coalition of partners working together to build community pride through increased recycling awareness. This campaign is funded by Niagara Cares, the charitable division of Niagara Bottling. Coalition partners include DoSomething and Keep America Beautiful. Together we are inspiring residents to take a simple yet impactful pledge: Recycle. Compost. Reduce Litter. Every Day.
How do I know if my agency is a good fit for this program?
Your agency is a good fit if you have community investment in your programming, excitement for recycling or litter-clean up, and if you’re looking forward to some friendly recycling competition with peer park and recreation agencies. We are looking to work with program managers who are flexible, collaborative, and value proactive communication.
Where can I find examples of cities participating in the Love Campaign?
You can find examples of Love Campaign activations on the NRPA Recycling in Parks website.
Who is the lead funder and who are the partners in the LOVE campaign?
Niagara Cares is the lead funder of the Love Campaign. Partners include: NRPA, Do Something, Keep America Beautiful and local site partners like I Love a Clean San Diego and the Philadelphia Parks and Recreation Department.
How many grants will be awarded in this cycle?
There will be 10 grants awarded in 2025, each for $10,000, for a total of $100,000 distributed across the 10 agencies.
Is this grant a one-time opportunity or will it be recurring?
